Why we make soap

We started making soap because it is a useful and beautiful craft. Soap is something that we can hold in our hands, roll around our palms, and use to take the best care of ourselves. 

We experimented with clean and naturally effective ingredients to suit unique skincare needs and preferences – started with the best natural vegan butters as base, blended natural clays and minerals to detoxify and exfoliate, and added high quality essential oils for their special scents and beneficial qualities.

Through testing in our own kitchen, then workshop, we formulated the soap to be firm and durable, and lather up into beautiful fine bubbles for a feel good experience that lasts.

But, what we put into OLEEVY soaps is just as important as what we choose not to put into our soaps. No potential dermal irritants like sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) or sodium laureth sulfate (SLES), synthetic colours and fragrances. Also, no preservatives needed – goodbye questionable parabens!
